Yarmouth is a picturesque town steeped in history. Designated a borough in the 12th century, it has entertained nobility such as King John and King Charles II, while Henry VIII ordered the building of the castle as a coastal defence against the French.
Modern day Yarmouth remains a popular stop off for the 21st century yachtsmen and tourist alike. During the annual Gaffers festival and carnival week the town comes into its own.
